General Terms and Conditions


1. General

The summary points are not part of the terms.

  • We are a financial service for everyone aged 18 or older.

  • When you create a Tink account, you also enter into a contract with us.


1.1 These general terms and conditions (the “Terms”) apply when Tink AB, reg. no. 556898-2192, Vasagatan 11, 111 20 Stockholm, Sweden, e-mail:, (“Tink”) provides private financial services via the web or Tink app (the “Service”).

1.2 To use the Service, you must be at least 18 years of age and/or otherwise be authorized to enter into contracts, and agree to be bound by the Terms.

1.3 By creating an account and using the Service, you agree to and accept the Terms.


2. The service

  • When you use Tink, you allow us to collect data, from e.g. your bank and other services, on your behalf.

  • You can transfer funds with Tink.

  • When you carry out a transfer with the service, you notify Tink that a transfer is to be made, who in turn informs your bank.

  • The use of Tink is free of charge and if we would ever offer anything subject to a charge, you decide whether to approve it or not.

  • In the future, you may receive offers from us and our partners. If you do not want to, you may decline and we will respect your decision.

  • Future offers have to follow our ethical rules, i.e. be from companies applying proper business conduct.

  • In the future, Tink may launch new services under separate terms and conditions, you decide whether or not to activate them.


2.1 When using the Service, you have the option to provide Tink with access to your login details for third party services, such as those provided by banks and other service providers (“External Login Details”). Tink may also collect data from public registers. By creating a Tink account you agree to and instruct Tink to on your behalf use your External Login Details to download information from these external user accounts to your Tink account and that these third parties provide Tink with the information (“Information”) for use within the Service in accordance with these Terms. The Information may also include personal data, which is processed in accordance with Tink’s Integrity Policy

2.2 In the Service, you have the possibility to carry out transfers of funds among your bank accounts and between yours and others’ bank accounts. When you initiate a transfer of funds or a payment, you authorize Tink to, on your behalf, instruct your bank to carry out the transfer or payment.

2.3 You are responsible for ensuring that you are entitled to use the External Login Details and Information in the Service. You are also responsible for all use of the Service and for ensuring that your login details are kept safe from unauthorized access.

2.4 The use of the Service is free of charge. Traffic charges imposed by your mobile phone operator or internet provider may apply. When using the Service, you have the possibility to sign up for specific services and other offers from Tink and others, which may be subject to a charge. Where a charge applies, you will be notified thereof.

2.5 Tink may also offer the user new services in the Service. Such new services may be subject to separate terms and conditions. If the user wishes to activate the new service, the user has to accept the separate terms and conditions that apply for the service.

2.6 Tink and its collaboration partners and partners in marketing networks may direct offers to users via the Service, by e-mail or other means. Marketing that is directed to the user shall fulfil applicable laws, codes of conduct and ethical rules. By creating an account with Tink, you agree to Tink and its collaboration partners and partners in marketing networks directing offers and direct marketing to you. If you no longer wish to receive such direct offers, you may notify Tink thereof in writing. The Service may also include links to or offers from external partners whose terms differ from Tink’s. Users are encouraged to familiarize themselves with such terms.


3. Permitted use

  • Tink is for your personal use and you may download and copy data for your use, but not misuse the service.

  • Only add services that are your own or that you are authorized to use to your Tink account.


3.1 It is not permitted to copy, modify, distribute or publish content provided by Tink. However, it is permitted to download, copy and save information from Tink for your own personal use. Misuse or other inappropriate use of offers or other misuse of the Service is not permitted.

3.2 You are responsible for and guarantee that:

(i) The Information you upload or post in the Service does not violate anyone else’s rights and is not otherwise in breach of applicable law or others’ rights.

(ii) You have the right to dispose of the External Login Details and the Information and have obtained such approvals as required for the use of the Service and for Tink providing you with the Service.



4. ID-check

  • Tink assists you with monitoring your online identity to enable you to at an early stage detect if you have been targeted with ID theft or credit card fraud.

  • In order to do so, information is collected from various data sources, based on your personal identity number.


4.1 Tink ID-Control is a service that aims to give the user an increased control of the use of the user’s online identity, finances and to facilitate detection of suspected fraudulent activities. However, Tink ID-Control cannot protect you against fraud and does not in any way guarantee that all indications of fraudulent activities can be detected.

4.2 When you activate the service ID-Control Tink will collect data from public registers and information that Tink is provided from third parties, such as service providers and public records businesses, for the purpose of providing the service ID-Control to you. Data may include, e.g., information on ongoing applications in respect of the user’s credit-worthiness, records of non-payment, information on granted credits and information from public registers. Tink does not collects any data beyond the data presented to the user in the section ID-Control in the Tink app.

4.3 By creating a Tink account, the user agrees that above mentioned suppliers provide information to Tink for the purposes set forth in Tink’s Integrity Policy and that Tink stores and processes the information for the purposes set forth in the Integrity Policy. 

4.4 The user also agrees to Tink providing the user’s personal data to the abovementioned third parties to the extent necessary for the recipient to identify the user and Tink to fulfil its service obligations toward the user.



5. Credit mediation

  • Tink is a mortgage credit company under supervision of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority.

  • Tink collaborates with the lenders specified in the Tink app and is not independent.

  • Tink does not provide advice in respect of the mediation.

  • You do not pay any charges to Tink, but Tink is compensated by the lender that you conclude a contract with.

  • Tink has a liability insurance for the credit mediation.


5.1 Tink is a regulated mortgage credit company under the supervision of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (the “FSA”), as shown by the FSA’s company register at

5.2 Tink mediates mortgages from the lenders specified in the Tink app, which Tink cooperates with. Tink is thereby not an independent credit intermediary. Further, Tink does not provide advice in respect of the credit mediation.

5.3 You do not pay any charges to Tink for Tink’s mediation of the mortgage, however, Tink receives compensation from the lenders that Tink cooperates with. Tink’s compensation varies between the lenders and is specified in the standardised EU fact sheet that you receive from the lender that you conclude a contract with.

5.4 Tink has a liability insurance for Tink’s mediation of credits. If you suffer a damage and are not compensated by Tink, you may submit your claim for compensation directly to Tink’s insurance company:

Your claim must be submitted within a reasonable time period from having suffered the damage. Compensation can be paid at a maximum of 460 000 Euro per damage and 750 000 Euro for all damages during one calendar year.

6. Breach of contract and liability

  • If you are in breach of the terms or cause us damage, we are entitled to close your account.

  • We will do our outmost to ensure that all information in the service is correct, but we cannot guarantee that errors never occur.


6.1 Tink has the right to, at any time, suspend a user and close an account if the user is in breach of the Terms or otherwise uses the Service in a manner that may cause damage to Tink or a third party.

6.2 Tink aims to ensure that all information in the Service is correct and as up-to-date as possible. However, Tink cannot guarantee the availability of the Service or the reliability or accuracy of the information presented in the Service. Tink cannot be held accountable for the Service being unavailable or if any information or functionality does not work as expected.

6.3 Tink shall not be liable for any financial or other decisions made by you based on the use of the Service or for services or goods that you choose to buy from independent third parties or Tink’s collaboration partners


7. Force Majeure

  • Neither we nor you are responsible for circumstances outside of our respective control.


Neither party is responsible for delay or loss which is due to circumstances that the party has no control of and which significantly obstructs the fulfilment of the obligation in question or which results in the fulfilment of the obligation not being financially justifiable.


8. Changes to the Terms

  • We are allowed to make changes to the terms, but must inform you well in advance.


Tink has the right to, at any time, change the Service, change these Terms or cease providing the Service. Tink shall notify the user of changes to the Terms with reasonable advance notice. If you do not accept the changed Terms, you have the right to terminate your contract with Tink prior to the changed Terms enter into force.


9. Closing of account

  • You may close your account at any time, and we will delete your personal data.


You may close your account and cease your use of the Service at any time, by choosing “Close account”, or the corresponding function in the Service, or by contacting Tink requesting the account to be closed. Tink will then delete all External Login Details and all other information that is referable to you, however, excluding such information that Tink is required by law to store and archive, among other things to fulfil requirements under anti-money laundering laws.


10. Complaints

  • If you are discontent with us you may contact Tink’s Complaint Officer.

  • If you should remain discontent, you may contact the Swedish Consumers' Banking and Finance Bureau and/or the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).


We cherish our customers. We are keen to know if you are discontent with us and aim to address all comments and feedback as soon as possible. Written or oral complaints shall, at first-hand, be directed to:

You may also request customer support to forward a complaint to the Complaint Officer. If you should remain discontent after having been in contact with us, you may contact the Swedish Consumers’ Banking and Finance Bureau, which is an impartial organ providing customer information and information in matters of a financial nature.

11. Miscelaneus

  • In the unlikely event of a disagreement, Swedish law will govern.


11.1 Tink has the right to transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms. Further, Tink has the right to engage subcontractors for the fulfilment of its obligations.

11.2 Disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be governed by Swedish law and finally settled by the Swedish courts.
