General Terms and Conditions


1. General

The summary points are not part of the terms.

  • We are a financial service for everyone aged 18 or older.

  • When you create a Tink account, you also enter into a contract with us.


1.1 These general terms and conditions (the “Terms”) apply when Tink AB, reg. no. 556898-2192, Vasagatan 11, 111 20 Stockholm, Sweden, e-mail:, (“Tink”) provides private financial services via the Tink-App (the “Services”). 

1.2 To use the Services, you must be at least 18 years of age and/or otherwise be authorized to enter into contracts, and agree to be bound by the Terms.

1.3 By creating an account in the Tink-App ("Tink-Account") and using the Services, you accept the Terms and enter into an agreement with Tink on Tink’s provision of Services in accordance with the Terms.

1.4 When you have created a Tink-account, you may use one or more of the Services, which consist of Tink’s:

●    Account information service,

●    Payment initiation service,

●   Personal finance management services, and

●   Identity monitoring service "ID-Control".

The Services are described in sections 2-5 below.


2. The account information service

  • When you use Tink, you allow us to collect data, e.g. from your bank and other services, on your behalf.

  • We forward your request for data to your bank and the information is compiled in the Tink-App as soon as possible thereafter. 

  • The information is categorised automatically to give you an easy-to-understand overview of your finances.


2.1 The account information service means that you, in the Tink-App, are provided with compiled information in respect of one or several accounts that you have with one or several banks or payment service providers. The Services is activated when you give Tink access to your login details at your bank or other payment service provider of your choice ("External Login Details") in accordance with Tink’s instructions in the Tink-App. When doing so, you give your explicit consent to and instruct Tink to use your External Login Details on your behalf to download information from the external user accounts at the bank or payment service provider you choose to your Tink-Account and agree that such third parties provide Tink with the information for use in the Service in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for ensuring that you are entitled to use the External Login Details and the Information in the Service.

2.2 When you have approved the downloading of the information to your Tink-Account, a corresponding request is sent immediately to your bank. The processing time for the compilation of the information varies depending on how long time it takes to identify against the bank and how much information will be retrieved, but will be completed as soon as possible after your approval.

2.3 When the information is compiled in the Tink-App, it is categorised automatically to give you an easy-to-understand overview of your account information.


3. The payment initiation service

  • You can transfer money with Tink.

  • When you carry out a transfer with the service, you notify Tink that a transfer is to be made, who in turn informs your bank.

  • Subsequently, the bank executes the transaction.

  • If you suspect that an unauthorised payment has been made, you must contact your bank as soon as possible.

  •  If you do not inform your bank about suspicions or if you do not keep your account safe, you might be liable for your loss.


3.1 The payment initiation service means that you can order initiation of a payment transaction, i.e. order payments/transfers, between your accounts or from your accounts to accounts of others. Each time you want to order a payment/transfer, you use the Service by ordering the initiation of the payment/transfer in the Tink-App and by providing information on from which of your accounts the payment/transfer is to be made, the account of the payee and OCR number or message (if any), in accordance with Tink’s instructions in the Tink-App. When you have submitted the information, you must give your explicit consent to the initiation, where after Tink forwards your request for initiation directly to the bank.

3.2 If you have approved the initiation during a banking day, it will be considered as received by Tink and approved by you on that day. If you have approved the initiation during a day which is not a banking day, it will be considered as received by Tink and approved by you the following banking day. You may not, in any of these two situations, revoke a payment initiation after it has been approved by you.

3.3 You are responsible for the correctness of the information that you provide for the payment initiation and for having sufficient funds on your account. Tink is responsible for executing the initiation. If the initiation fails, you will be informed by Tink. The payment/transfer is executed by the bank. The bank is responsible for the execution. The timing for execution of the payment/ transfer depends on the respective bank’s processing times for execution.

3.4 If you suspect that a payment/transfer has been executed without your approval, you must inform the bank from which the payment/transfer was executed as soon as possible, in accordance with the bank’s instructions. If you fail to do so, you might be held liable for the payment/transfer.

If you have not informed your bank of unauthorized transactions: 
●     as soon as possible from knowing about these; or
●     within 13 months from your account having been charged;  
you are liable for the total amount. 

3.5 You might also be held liable for any unauthorised transactions which have been possible to execute due to your failure to protect your personalised security credentials for the account and/or your technical equipment.



4.Personal finance management services

  • You can create budgets and savings goals in the Tink-App.

  • In the future, you may receive offers from us and our partners. If you do not want to, you may decline and we will respect your decision.

  • Future offers have to follow our ethical rules, i.e. be from companies applying proper business conduct.

  • In the future, Tink may launch new services under separate terms and conditions, you decide whether or not to activate them.


4.1 Tink also provides other Services for management of your finances in the form of tools for budgets and savings goals, which you can use in order to get an overview of your financial situation and to be able to monitor it when you have such need.

4.2 Tink might also offer you new services in the Tink-app. Such new services may be subject to separate terms and conditions. If you wish to activate such new service, you must accept the terms and conditions that apply to that service.

4.3 Tink and our collaboration partners and advertisers may direct offers to you via the Tink-App, by e-mail or by other means. Marketing that is directed to you must comply with applicable laws, codes of conduct and ethical rules. By creating a Tink-account, you confirm that Tink and its collaboration partners and advertisers may direct offers to you. If you no longer wish to receive such direct offers, you may notify Tink thereof in writing. The Tink-App may also include links to or offers from external partners whose terms differ from Tink’s. You should familiarize yourself with such terms.



5. The identity monitoring service ID-Control

  • Tink assists you with monitoring your online identity to enable you to at an early stage detect if you have been targeted with ID theft or credit card fraud.

  • In order to do so, information is collected from various data sources


5.1 Tink’s identity monitoring service ID-Control is a service that aims to give you an increased control of the use of your identity and finances, and to facilitate detection of suspected fraudulent activities. However, ID-Control cannot protect you against fraud and does not in any way guarantee that all indications of fraudulent activities can be detected.

5.2 When you activate the Service ID-Control, you accept and instruct Tink to collect data from public registers and information that Tink is provided from third parties, such as service providers and public records businesses, for the purpose of providing the service ID-Control to you. The data may include, e.g., information on ongoing applications in respect of your credit-worthiness, records of non-payment, information on granted credits and information from public registers.

5.3 When you activate the Service, you agree that the relevant suppliers provide information to Tink for the purposes set forth in these Terms. You also agree that Tink provides your personal data to the suppliers to the extent necessary for the recipient to identify you and for Tink to provide the Service to you.

 5.4 Tink never collects any other data than the data presented to you in the section ID-Control in the Tink-App.


6. Permitted use

  • The use of Tink is free of charge and if we would ever offer anything subject to a charge, you decide whether to approve it or not.

  • Tink is for your personal use and you may download and copy our data, but not misuse the service.

  • Only connect services to Tink which are yours or which you are authorized to login to.

  • Remember that you are responsible for using the Tink-App in a secure manner and for protecting your login details.


6.1 Using the Services is free of charge. Traffic charges imposed by your mobile phone operator or internet provider may apply. Via the Tink-App, you may also be given the opportunity to take part of specific services and other offers from Tink and others, which may be subject to a charge. Where a charge applies, you will be notified thereof.

6.2 It is not permitted to copy, modify, distribute or publish content provided by Tink. But it is permitted to download, copy and save information from Tink for personal use. Misuse or inappropriate use of offers or other misuse of the Service is not permitted.

6.3 You are responsible for and guarantee that:

(i) All Information that you upload or put in the Tink-App does not violate anyone else’s rights and is not otherwise in breach of applicable law or others’ rights.

(ii) You have the right to dispose of External Login Details and all information and have obtained such approvals as required for the use of the Services and for Tink to provide you with the Services.

(iii) Your use of the Services is in accordance with these Terms.

(iv) You protect you login details and personalised security credentials from unauthorised access.

(v) You protect your technical equipment from unauthorised use, e.g. by PIN number or biometric lock (e.g. fingerprint sensor).

(vi) You, in case of suspicion or knowledge of unauthorised use of the Services, your technical equipment or the Tink-App, immediately inform Tink.


7. Processing of personal data

Tink’s provision of the Services encompasses processing of personal data. The processing is performed in accordance with Tink’s integrity policy, which forms part of these Terms.


8. Breach of contract and Tink’s liability

  • If you are in breach of the terms or cause us damage, we are entitled to close your account.

  • If security risks are suspected, we may also block your account.

  • We will do our outmost to ensure that all information in the service is correct, but we cannot guarantee that errors never occur.

  • We hope that the Tink-App is a good tool for you, but you are responsible for your personal finances.


8.1 Tink has the right to, at any time, suspend you as a user and close your Tink-account if you are in breach of the Terms or otherwise use the Services in a manner that may cause damage to Tink or a third party.


8.2 If security risks are suspected, or if Tink suspects that an initiated payment/transfer is unauthorized, Tink may inform you about this in a manner deemed suitable for the situation at hand, e.g. by a message via the Tink-App. Tink also reserves the right to block the account information service and the payment initiation service at any time where there:

·       Otherwise is a risk for non-secure use of the Services; or

·       Is suspicion of unauthorised use of the Services.

8.3 Tink aims to ensure that all information in the Services is correct and as up-to-date as possible. However, Tink cannot guarantee the availability of the Services or the reliability or accuracy of the information presented in the Services. Tink cannot be held accountable if the Services are unavailable or if any information is incorrect or if a function does not work as expected, so far as such limitation of Tink’s liability is permitted under the applicable law.

8.4 Tink shall not be liable for any financial or other decisions made by you based on your use of the Services or for services or goods that you choose to buy from independent third parties or Tink’s collaboration partners.


9. Force Majeure

  • Neither we nor you are responsible for circumstances outside of our respective control.


Neither party is responsible for delay or loss which is due to circumstances that the party has no control of and which significantly obstructs the fulfilment of the obligation in question or which results in the fulfilment of the obligation not being financially justifiable.


10. Changes to the Terms

  • We are allowed to make changes to the terms, but must inform you well in advance.

  • If you are not comfortable with new terms, you may close your account.


10.1 Changes to the Terms of the account information service or the payment initiation service take effect two (2) months after Tink has given notice of the changes. 

10.2 Otherwise, Tink has the right to, at any time, change the Services, change the Terms or cease providing the Services. Tink will in in due time inform you about changes to the Terms.

10.3 If you do not accept the changed Terms, you have the right to terminate the agreement with Tink prior to the changes enter into effect. If you do not terminate the agreement, you will be considered to have accepted the changes.


11 Term of the agreement and termination

  • You may close your account at any time, and we will delete your personal data.


11.1 Your agreement with Tink under these Terms will continue until it is terminated in accordance with these Terms. You have the right, at any time, to terminate the agreement, your Tink-Account and your use of the Services with immediate effect. You do this most easily by choosing "Delete account" under "account and settings" in the Tink-App, or via contact with Tink. If Tink wants to terminate the agreement with you, a notice period of two (2) months applies.

11.2 When your agreement is terminated, Tink will delete all External Login Details and all other information that is referable to you, excluding such information that Tink is required by law to store and archive, among other things to fulfil requirements under anti-money laundering laws.


12 Supervision, complaints and insurance

  • Tink is supervised by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen).

  • We would be pleased to get feedback from you on our services, please get in touch with our customer service.

  • If you are discontent with us you may contact Tink’s Complaint Officer.

  • If you should remain discontent, you may contact the Swedish Consumers' Banking and Finance Bureau and/or the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).


12.1. Tink is licensed as a payment institution and is supervised by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority. Tink’s licenses are published in the company register kept by the authority,, and can also be verified by contact with.

12.2 We cherish our customers. We are keen to answer your questions and to know if you are discontent with us and aim to address all comments and feedback as soon as possible. Our customer service team is available at and in the chat in the Tink-App.

12.4 If you should remain discontent after having been in contact with us, you may contact the Swedish Consumers’ Banking and Finance Bureau, which is an impartial organ providing customer information and information in matters of a financial nature.

13 Miscellaneous

  • In the unlikely event of a disagreement, Swedish law will govern.


13.1 Tink has the right to transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms. Further, Tink has the right to engage subcontractors for the fulfilment of its obligations.

13.2 You have a right to receive, on request, a copy of these Terms and you are welcome to contact our customer service with your request. The Terms are available in Swedish and in English, which are the languages that may be used in the contacts between you and Tink.

13.3 Statutory information about the Services is provided in accordance with the applicable law in the Tink-App and on our website and can also be obtained from our customer service.

13.4 Disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be governed by Swedish law and finally settled by the Swedish courts.
